Project Overview
In 2023, Ansir was contacted y an architectural firm seeking assistance with the design development of the baggage handling system for the upcoming Kens Bore Airport project. We were given the opportunity to assist in the preliminary design stages given Ansir's previous experience with recently completing a number of regional and mining airport projects. A solid, fit-for-purpose design that took into account the interests of all important stakeholders was produced thanks to early stage design support.
Challenges
The remote location and harsh climate of Kens Bore Airport presented logistical challenges. Additionally, a short project completion timeline set by the client.
Solution
Ansir designed a fully automated baggage handling system, incorporating advanced conveyor technology and integrated security screening. The system was built to handle high volumes of luggage while minimizing human intervention, ensuring seamless operation in challenging conditions. Remote monitoring and support were also implemented to ensure ongoing system reliability.
Results
The project was delivered on time and within budget. Kens Bore Airport now boasts robust, simplified technology to ensure reliability in the remote location. Ergonomic, user-friendly and functional design ensuring reliability and low maintenance costs. Ansir’s solution has set the benchmark for efficiency in regional airports across Australia.
